So Friday I started it off with a 3.5 mile run with Natasha. We haven't run together since the 2nd or 3rd weekend of the BTC test group and I've only run on my own once in between then on the treadmill so I was surprised at how well I did!! We started at 7pm so the sun had already set but the cool night was refreshing for our run. I had much more endurance, stamina and strength to go further than I had gone before with less pain. It was during this run that I realized how far I've come! How hard I've worked and how well my body is adapting. I was so proud! :) We then did core workout and lets just say I was exhausted from the run so this was extremely difficult. Natasha had upped my set amount to 25 from 15 per set and I felt it hard/painful. My core is definitely the weakest!! I'm going to need to continue pushing hard and possible attend Maia's Wednesday 8:50pm bootcamp session to help.
On Saturday the rain kept us from running outdoors so I opted for attending 12:50PM Kazaxe. I had never taken a class with Farrah but I really enjoyed it! : ) It was so nice to walk in and actually know people and say hello. I saw Flo, Frances and our very own Marketa graced us with her presence on stage!

Sunday we met again for another run with a light drizzle :) , this time only 1.8 miles but concentrated more on weights and core workout. The workout didn't seem as painful as Fridays but still very good.
So my weekend workout goal was reached! YIPPEEEEE! ....and I guess I don't HATE running anymore just....ehhhh
Congrats on your progress. I had the same feeling about running in the beginning. Some thoughts on how to make it so that you're not counting every step or asking how much longer: some really good upbeat and motivating music makes the time go by (aka the miles), also change your routes (mapmyrun.com allows you to create a route and it tells you the distance/elevation). The biggest thing with running for me was that I view it as my escape from my world, I can just listen to the music and enjoy the scenery. Shikha
ReplyDeleteRUnning isn't my fav either.... but it does help me to relax. I'm glad that you can come to KZX and know you have friends who support you.
